Do You Know Nick and Josh?

Well, I do. They're Southerners, pronounce some words strangely, and excellent doods. They interviewed me on their podcast.

Link

Please help this guy answer his question.

[UPDATE: Okay, thanks. I have the feeling that Kenny has gotten more traffic than ever before at his site, so we can all stop going there now. You were all very kind.]

In South Africa???

Then maybe you can tell me what this says:

“Postmodernism, Youth Culture and the Church”.

Brian McLaren: “Tony is a good friend of mine. He is sharp and theologically well articulated. I dont know of anybody else who has his fingers so on the pulse of ministering in a postmodern context as Tony Jones.”

The Writing Life

I've read many books on the writing life, since it's long been a life to which I've aspired. And now, with contract (almost) in hand, I'm actually really getting a taste of it. The attempts to be disciplined have, for the most part, been foiled by nice weather, t-ball games, Emergent commitments, and PhD bugaroos. But today I sit, ready to go. It's a beautiful day. Summer begins in 32 minutes. It seems like a perfect time to start writing a book.

"There's a book in your future"

That's what I received in my latest fortune cookie. No joke!

Well, it may be true for you as well. If you're one of the first fifty (50) persons to email Carol Showalter at Paraclete Press today, they'll send you a free copy of You Converted Me: The Confessions of St. Augustine, a book for which I wrote the introduction and a bunch of internal readers' notes. It's a great version of a timeless classic.

While you're on their website, check out the many other excellent books they publish, including Scot McKnight's The Jesus Creed, and Pete Rollins's How (Not) to Speak of God, or the next book in my series with them, The Most Difficult Journey You'll Ever Make: The Pilgrim's Progress.

So, get an email to Carol and bless thyself with a free book!
